This year marked yet another winning year for Tug-o-War Champions, Team T-N-T.  At this time the team is the only team name on the traveling trophy which was donated by the Lion’s Club the first year the event was held at the wolverine Lumberjack Festival.  Each year the winning team takes home the Tug O War Trophy and the prize money.  For the last three years Team T-N-T has also put in an extra $100 as a dare to see if anyone can take it from them, no team has been able to do so as to date.  All it takes to enter is a 6 person team and $20 maybe this year your team can take home the trophy.
 

It is with sad news that the Lumberjack Committee has to announce that after 12 years there will no long be a rubber duck race at the Lumberjack Festival.  This past year, the “owner” of the rubber ducks showed up at the festival after the duck race on Saturday with a receipt showing that she had bought the plastic ducks many years ago and demanded the ducks back.  Sometimes some battles are not worth the time to fight .
