History of the Festival

Wolverine, Michigan is located on the banks of the beautiful Sturgeon River. This year we are celebrating our 25th Annual Lumberjack Festival and Wolverine’s 125th Birthday. The Lumberjack Festival button you purchased is good for entrance into the park all 4 days. The logo on the button was designed by two local students.
Every year we have a contest to determine what the logo will be.
The Lumberjack Festival is special in that it is run solely by volunteers.
To keep the festival alive, we are always in need of volunteers, so please help when and where you can. We hope you enjoy your visit with us, and remember the last weekend in June is the date for the Wolverine Lumberjack Festival. If you have any questions or need more information please write us at
